GEORGIA AND RUSSIA SIGN PROTOCOL ON BORDER SECURITY

Konstantin Totsky and Valery Chkheidze, border guard service chiefs of Russia and Georgia, signed a protocol on increasing security on the Russia-Georgia border in Yerevan on Thursday. The protocol envisions regular information sharing between the two countries and joint border patrols. Totsky and Chkheidze indicated that the protocol comes as a follow- up to agreements the presidents of Russia and Georgia, Vladimir Putin and Eduard Shevardnadze, reached during a CIS summit in Chisinau.Visit also
