OWNER OF HOUSE IN WHICH CHECHEN LEADER WAS KILLED FOUND DEAD

The owner of the house in Tolstoi-Yurt where Russian federal troops surrounded and killed Chechen President and resistance leader Aslan Maskhadov on 8 March has been found dead, Russian media reported on 24 March. His body reportedly bore signs of torture. Also on 24 March, a Grozny city council official told Interfax that it would be \"unethical\" to provide funds to rebuild the house, which was destroyed several days after Maskhadov\'s death.Visit also
