Russian Deputy Prosecutor Deneral Sergei Fridinsky has confirmed that an armed raid by militants into Ingushetia on June 21-22 was led by Chechen rebel warlord Shamil Basayev. \"It follows from evidence given by the detainees that Basayev led the bandit attack,\" Fridinsky told Interfax.
