EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT LOOKS AT HUMAN RIGHTS IN TURKMENISTAN

The European Parliament has raised the issue of human rights in Turkmenistan and is considering adopting a resolution on the issue. According to Peter Zalmaev, coordinator for CIS programs of the International League for Human Rights, this is \"a revolutionary event.\" He described the action of the European Parliament as the first step toward instituting sanctions against Turkmenistan.Visit also
