South Ossetian has reaffirmed its interest in forging military ties with the breakaway republic of Abkhazia. \"Last year, Abkhazia and South Ossetia agreed on staging joint anti-terrorist exercises and these plans are still valid,\" South Ossetian Prime Minister Gerasim Khugayev told Interfax.
