AZERBAIJAN\'S ALIYEV UNDERGOES SURGERY IN US

Azerbaijan President Heydar Aliyev has undergone surgery for inguinal hernia at a US clinic, the presidential press service in Baku said Monday. The surgery of the 80-year-old leader, who had been treated at the Cleveland clinic for his prostate in February last year, went well, the press service said. Aliyev was elected as chief of the oil-rich former Soviet republic in 1993, and has announced his intention to run for reelection this year despite health concerns.Visit also
