GENERAL ELECTRIC GETS $650 MILLION CONTRACT FROM KAZAKHSTAN FOR 310 LOCOMOTIVES

General Electric Co. said Thursday it will supply the Kazakhstan national railway with 310 GE Evolution locomotives worth more than $650 million. The industrial and engineering conglomerate plans to build 300 engines from 2008 to 2012 at a new plant in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan.Visit also
