S. OSSETIA, ABKHAZIA \'SELF-PROCLAIMED\' REPUBLICS - KOKOITY

South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Transdniestria should be referred as self-proclaimed republics, said South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity. \"Our unions with Abkhazia and Transdniestria clearly demonstrate that we should cast away such terms as \'unrecognized\' republics. We are self-proclaimed republics,\" Kokoity told a briefing at the Interfax main office on Tuesday.

We are self-proclaimed republics,\" Kokoity told a briefing at the Interfax main office on Tuesday. The celebration of the 15th anniversary of South Ossetia\'s independence on September 18-20 \"clearly demonstrated to everyone, including the Georgian side, that South Ossetia is an established state,\" he said. \"From the point of view of self-determination, the truth is on our side and we do not doubt our success,\" he said.
