Russia is appalled by ABC News channel broadcasting an interview with Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. \"A recording of the interview with Chechen terrorist Shamil Basayev being broadcast in the USA by one of the most popular national channels with as extensive an audience as ABC News draws our bewilderment and indignation,\" says a release by the Russian Foreign Ministry\'s information department published at the ministry\'s web-site on Friday. \"Airtime was given to one of the most notorious Chechen militants, who has stained himself with numerous terrorist attacks, including those at the Dubrovka Theater Center and in Beslan, in which hundreds of civilians died, including children,\" the release said.
