More than 60 illegal immigrants have been detained at the Moscow International Air Show since it opened on 19 August, and deportation orders have already been issued for four illegal migrants from Uzbekistan. Moscow Vice Mayor Valerii Shantsev declared on 20 August that city authorities do not intend to rescind the new registration rules for people from other cities arriving Moscow to work. According to Shantsev, the rules might be amended, but \"we will protect these people, who should not become 21st-century slaves.
