KARABAKH CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS CONTINUE

Sporadic shooting was reported on 11 March for the fourth consecutive day on the Line of Contact separating Armenian and Azerbaijani forces east of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), RFE/RL\'s Armenian Service reported. The NKR Defense Ministry issued a statement on 11 March blaming the exchanges of fire on repeated attempts by Azerbaijani forces to penetrate behind Armenian lines. A spokesman for the NKR Defense Ministry said one Armenian soldier has been killed and two wounded in recent days; one Azerbaijani serviceman was reported wounded in the head on 11 March.
