Foreign ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Armenia who had a trilateral meeting under NATO Summit decided to continue the process, diplomatic sources said on Monday. Sources stated that a following trilateral meeting was planned to be held in New York in September. Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul held a trilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Elmar Memmedyarov of Azerbaijan and Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanyan of Armenia. The ministers were in Istanbul to attend the 17th NATO Summit. Sources noted that Memmedyarov and Oskanyan thanked Gul for taking such an initiative. Oskanyan and Memmedyarov recalled that NATO and the European Union (EU) were going through a process of enlargement, stating that Turkey, which was a member of NATO and which would probably be a member of the EU, could undertake a role of bridge in integration of South Caucasus to Europe. Foreign ministers of Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan discussed to include Georgia in the process in their meeting on Monday. Ministers decided to hold another trilateral meeting as soon as possible.
