A senior opposition politician in Kazakhstan has been found dead near the country\'s largest city, Almaty. Altynbek Sarsenbaiuly, his bodyguard and driver were all found dead on a road near the city. All three apparently died from gunshots, reports say. Mr Sarsenbaiuly was once a key ally of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev but broke ranks to join the opposition. He is the second opposition politician to die in mysterious circumstances in recent months. An investigation is continuing into the death of the other, Zamanbek Nurkadilov. He was found dead with gunshot wounds last November. Mr Sarsenbaiuly served as information minister in President Nazarbayev\'s government, the only opposition politician to do so, but resigned after elections last year, saying they were unfair. He also served as Kazakstan\'s ambassador to Moscow, and was co-chairman of the opposition coalition, Ak Zhol. (BBC)
