"The fire was opened by Russian and Abkhaz armed formations," presidential envoy in the gorge Emzar Kvitsiani has told the press. He said that on Sunday over 100 Russian servicemen and armed Abkhazs in violation of all understandings entered the gorge controlled by the Georgian side.
